Social phobia is the fear of social situations where you might be the center of the attention or may have to interact with strangers. People, who have this anxiety issue fear what other people may think or say about them, and hence they find it very hard to function properly amidst unfamiliar people. If you go to great lengths to avoid social situations for the fear of being evaluated or making a fool of yourself, you most probably have social phobia.
